More Rock Werchter because…
More artists confirmed their arrival at the festival. R.E.M. and METALLICA have been announced previously. Also at TW2003: RADIOHEAD, COLDPLAY, MOBY, MASSIVE ATTACK, UNDERWORLD, BJ?RK, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, DAVE GAHAN, TIMO MAAS, SUPERGRASS, R?YKSOPP, MILLIONAIRE, SUSHEELA RAMAN and ZUCO 103.
More Rock Werchter because…
The festival remains at the familiar festival grounds of Werchter this year. This doesn’t imply though, that the problems caused by the police reformation have been solved. A constructive solution with the several authorities is being worked out. A solution that should ensure not only the future of TW, but also the future of other events in our country.
Also literally more Rock Werchter because…
The kick off of the festival is already on the Thursday this year. A unique fact. It so happens that there is a large and strong offer of artists this year and TW wants to offer its public nothing but the best. Therefore, Thursday June 26th, Bj?rk, Radiohead and Underworld will be starting from 21:30 on the big TW-stage. Friday, Massive Attack and Moby will headline. Saturday, Queens of the Stone Age and Metallica will perform. And Finally Sunday, the headliners will be Coldplay and R.E.M. Campers are welcome at Werchter as from Thursday afternoon.
More Rock Werchter because…
TW2003 is the 30th edition of the Werchter festival. In 1974 Banzai and Kandahar were on stage for the first Rock & Blues Werchter. The festival had a small audience of 1.000 people, the rest is history. Rock Werchter grew out to be one of the biggest festivals in Europe. A festival – party that offers the best of what matters in modern music nowadays.
Presales start half march. All details and practical information on Rock Werchter will follow soon!

Release dates

UK Teletext is reporting the following UK release date for the new Radiohead album, which is still untitled (though sources tell us that it may be 2+2=5 or Are You Listening?), to be June 9th.
The first single (which we believe could be “Where I End and You Begin”) will be released in the UK on May 16th.

Radiohead in NY?

Suffolk Life, a local paper in NY, is reporting that Radiohead has agreed to perform at a music festival in Riverhead, NY this June. The festival is to be held at a now defunct Grumman airplane manufacturing facility. The article predicts that 60,000 people will attend the 2 day festival. Radiohead was the only band listed as “confirmed”.
We have not heard any confirmation from the band so until this is officialy announced, please treat this as a rumor. We’re skeptical at this point due to the fact that Radiohead will be busy with European festivals during the month of June. Once we find out more, we’ll pass it along.
