I have only recently discovered the greatness of this song and I
believe it is one of Radioheads most beautiful songs. The whole
song relates to the way people forget those who were important to
them when their lives change. People should never forget the people
who made them who they are.

To me, Thinking about you is one the most beautiful song ever. it's
a story about that guy that is in love with a *STAR*, an artist, a
singer, that he used to know....when he says " your records are here...your
eyes are on my wall....your teeth are over there...", well, it seems
that he has a poster on his bedroom's wall. That's also why he says
" Should I still love you, still see you in bed? But I'm playing with
myself..." Well, he masturbates while he looks at her in his bed.
He wishes he could give her everything, but now that she's a star,
he knows that she doesn't need him and that she has this superficial
world around her to satisfy her needs. It is the most beautiful love
song ever... |

I THINK THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST LOVE SONGS OF RADIOHEAD.
THIS IS ABOUT A GUY THAT LOVED A GIRL BUT SHE DISAPPEARED AND SHE
RUNAWAY FROM HIS EYES, FROM HIS HEART,FROM HIS MIND AND FROM HIS LIFE.
BUT HE LOVED HER SO MUCH THAT HE WILL NOT FORGET ABOUT HER AND HE'LL
THINKING ABOUT HER.....HE'LL BE EXPECTING THAT SHE COMES BACK SOMEDAY,
WHILE HE'LL BE THINKING ABOUT HER...... |

while it is an amazing love song, its also tragic. he is speaking
of an old girlfriend, perhaps, that has moved on (become a star) while
he is not at all over the relationship. He obviously still loves her,
and is to the point of obsession with his memories of her. there is
the ever-present theme of a lack of self confidance, as he admits
that "the other men are far, far better". he goes on to talk about
how he tried so hard to do things to make her happy, but in the end,
it was all meaningless to her. when he says "been thinking about you,
and how can you sleep?" he is expressing that he doesn't understand
how she moved on and how she no longer cares. at the end, he tells
her "i've bled and i bleed to please you", which is basically saying
that he would have done anything for her, and he still would do anything
for her, because he still loves her. it is a beautiful song, but it
would appear that his efforts to win her back are a lost cause. |

Obviously hopelessley in love, I can't take my mind off of her. She's
in my dreams in my sight and in my thoughts day in and day out, even
though shes so far away now. She's someone I have shared a great deal
of my soul with and who has shared back as well. However now the times
have changed and feelings that once were may not be anymore....I just
don't want her to forget about me, because I know I'll never forget
about her. I know her better than so many people, and I love her honostly,
so why should she care about anyone elses opinions if they aren't
coming from someone like me. |

this song holds special meaning to me. it's my favorite radiohead
song, is absolutely beautiful, and always reminds me of one of the
most special people in my life who i don't see anymore but think about
constantly. i can't say what it means to the people/person who wrote
it, but to me it's about thinking the world of someone you don't see
often enough, and thinking about them frequently. |

The amazing thing about this song is that it makes any boy feel like
it is aimed at him particularly. The whole 'I'm playing with myself'
line make them think that its there brain in a nutshell. Every boy
can easily compare this with when they really fancy a girl who doesn't
know them, yet you do a lot for them. Then, you get home a masturbate
over them. I hope this doesn't sound to crude but I have met 4 people
who have felt this way about the song. |

That's exactly what i'd say to Thom if i could(well i'm in love with
this wonderful guy!). It must be about your/my/his/&so on love for
some (rock) star. And about feeling sort of unworthy to love such a
special one.Something VERY sincear |
