Pyramid Song and Mario Brothers Fan Animation?

UPDATED: In what is certainly one of the more bizarre things we’ve been sent, it appears that a clip of Pyramid Song pops up in part three of the Mario Brothers flash saga. I’m at a loss on how to describe these, other than to say that the official description is “a simple sprite animation depicting the tragic story of Mario and his ultimate downfall” and that they are not saying that in an ironic way.
See for yourself here– the Radiohead song is about a minute in. Should you wish, Part One and Part Two are also online.
(Thanks to Rob, who can corroborate that I am not making this up.)

Stanley: Com Lag Art Legit, New RH.com Coming Soon

Stanley Donwood spoke to At Ease (and we’re quite jealous, as we are huge SD fans over here), and confirmed that the previously posted Com Lag EP artwork was, in fact, the real deal. The various message boards have been buzzing that it was a fake, mostly due to the reappearance of several Kid A/Amnesiac elements (e.g. the bears and the Plakatbau font). But fear not- it’s the real deal.
Stanley says “we added a Dutch influence by imagining a range of delftware that featured despotic sperm monsters and genetically modified bears. Also, the packaging will have a very shiny varnish. Like a glaze. I would like to make an entire range:tea pot, gravy boat, etc.- more tea, vicar?”
Stanley also stated that we should expect a brand spanking new Radiohead.com soon- “we are mixing a big rusty cauldron full of strange ingredients”.
(Thanks to At Ease, the lucky bastards!)

Thom, Fashion Plate Extraordinare

A bit unexpected, but we’ll take it…Thom is featured in this month’s Blender, in a feature called Dress Like the Stars.
Sporting a smashing getup featuring Nautica, Diesel, H&M, and Kenneth Cole fashions (all at once!), Mr. Yorke likes long walks on the beach, obscure German techno you wish you were cool enough to know about, and dancing. Turn-offs include Republicans, NYC bouncers, and people who ask what the guy at the end of the Just video is saying.
Click on the thumbnail to see the photo spread in all of it’s glory.
.
On a side note, this may or may not be officially sanctioned, so take it as you’d like.
(Big thanks to CUTW, who are simply hooking it up over there. Nice.)
