Tickets for both Austrailian shows went on sale today, and quickly sold out. The Sydney show sold out in 11 minutes, and the Melbourne show went quickly after (NOTE- as of now, single tickets are available again for the Melbourne show). Ticketmaster7.com was virtually useless, and Ticketek didn’t seem to hold up much better.
The good news, however, is that two new dates went onsale quickly after-
Saturday, April 24th in Sydney.
Tuesday, April 27th in Melbourne.
Tickets are currently available for both, but they’re going quickly. Rush over to Ticketek for Syndey tickets and Ticketmaster7 for the Melbourne shows.
In addition, several reports have come in of tickets being made available 20-30 minutes after allegedly selling out. This is very common for online ticketing- it’s the result of browsers timing out or credit cards being declined. The wise man who never gives up after being told a show is sold out is the wise man who generally winds up scoring tickets. Patience is a virtue indeed…
(Thanks to Chris, Frances, Jack, Simon, Matthew, and all those who wrote in. Keep us posted!)
UPDATE: The shows on the 23rd and 26th are again saying sold out (though are wouldn’t hurt to keep checking). Upper section seats remain for the 24th and 27th, though odds are you’ll get better tickets through the w.a.s.t.e. Ticket Shop.

Nigel Records The Beta Band
NME reports that Nigel is producing the new album by underrated indie heros (and formed RH openers) The Beta Band.
From NME–
The Beta Band have revealed that Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich will work on their new album.
In a message posted on the band’s website, singer Steve Mason explained that the band are happy with the results. “He’s (Godrich) working at Mayfair Studios in London. Me and Rich (Greentree, bass) went down at the weekend to see what he’s doing to our LP and its all good!
“Looks like 12 tracks will go on the record out of the 17 we recorded,” he explained. “Mixing will be done in two weeks and the LP will be out in February.”

Happened upon a friend who had received the newly released Radiohead documentary “Homework” for his birthday. I know many of you (myself included) are completists who’ll pick up anything and everything Radiohead related, but the picture on the cover is about as much Radiohead as you’ll find in this thing. It is literally an interview with three Oxford record store owners set to some random (non-RH) music. Unauthorized indeed…
