Rocker Slash has said that he was too intimidated to ask Radiohead’s Thom Yorke to appear on his new solo album.
Speaking to The Sun, the former Guns N’ Roses guitarist revealed that he planned to ask Yorke to provide vocals for a track but was too nervous to call the singer.
“I wanted Thom Yorke to do ‘Saint is a Sinner Too’, but I didn’t have the balls to call him,” Slash said.
The song was recorded instead with singer Rocco DeLuca, who fronts rock band Rocco DeLuca and the Burden.
Dave Grohl, Motorhead’s Lemmy, Iggy Pop, Kid Rock, Fergie and Ozzy Osbourne all appear on the musician’s upcoming self-titled record.

Thom Yorke and Atoms for Peace wrapped up their tour last night with a performance at Coachella. Drawing a huge crowd, the band played an energetic set on par with what they have been playing all tour. Rumors were blowing up on Twitter before the show that Radiohead may show up on stage but that proved to be false. We have reports that the other members of Radiohead were at the festival, but only to enjoy it as fans.
Setlist:
01 The Eraser
02 Analyse
03 The Clock
04 Black Swan
05 Skip Divided
06 Atoms for Peace
07 And it Rained All Night
08 Harrowdown Hill
09 Cymbal Rush
ENCORE:
10 Give up the Ghost
11 Airbag
12 Everything in its Right Place
13 Paperbag Writer
14 Judge, Jury & Executioner
15 The Hollow Earth
16 Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses
What happens now? It was a fun tour and hope that it isn’t too long before something else happens in the Radioheadverse.

Okay, so the video quality isn’t that great but the audio is top notch. This is from Radiohead’s 12 song set at the Reading Festival in 1994. Things were different then… Thom had blond hair, Ed was in his pirate shirt phase, Phil had hair, Jonny is wearing mom jeans, and Colin looks to be wearing a quilt. With that said, this is still a great video to watch. Thom starts out singing a cover of Tim Buckley’s “Sing a Song For You” which reminds us just how great his voice can be.
