Did you get your Radiohead tickets?

Radiohead

Both shows at New York’s Roseland Ballroom went on sale this morning at 10 AM and we’ve been reading many reports that it was pretty much impossible for anyone to get tickets. Of course, it’s to be expected that Radiohead would sell out quickly, especially at a smaller venue like the Roseland. Currently, Ticketmaster says “Tickets Not Available” for both shows, but that doesn’t mean that additional tickets couldn’t become available later. We don’t know that for sure, though.

Also, please be very wary of getting tickets through scalpers. All tickets must be picked up at the Roseland will call office right before the shows and be under the name of the person who purchased them. If someone says they have tickets they can sell you, it’s most likely a scam.

Were you able to get tickets? Sound off in the comments.

Thom Yorke surprised us all by performing a one-off show in Cornwall last night as part of the European Fish Fry festival.

A small crowd in Crackington Haven were treated to what appears to be an acoustic set by Thom. Outside of this, we really don’t know what he played or why he was even there.

More info as it become available…

Radiohead at Coachella in 2004

It’s been understood that Radiohead will be touring at some point in the near future. Recently, Ed O’Brien mentioned that the band was booking tour dates for 2012 so it comes as no surprise to hear rumors about possible gigs. There’s a rumor floating around now that Radiohead will be headlining Coachella next April, according to the music trade publication, Hits Daily Double:

The same is true with high-profile festivals like Coachella, which has locked in No Doubt and Radiohead as two of next year’s headliners…

Once we know for sure, we’ll let you know. Stay tuned!

Ed O’Brien interview reveals 2012 tour, possible solo album

Ed O'Brien's nippleLast week, Ed O’Brien gave an interview to Argentinian website, Al Tuntún, as well as lost-pixel.net and revealed that Radiohead were booking tour dates at the moment for 2012. He was also asked about a solo album. “I’m writing songs,” he remarked. If true, this leaves Colin Greenwood as the only Radiohead member who hasn’t released a solo album.

Sorry, this is all the information we have. The full interview should be up soon at Al Tuntún.

Phil Selway Radiohead tour

Phil Selway hints at future Radiohead shows, releases new solo material

Radiohead drummer and all around good guy, Phil Selway, recently talked with BBC 6 Music about his recent solo work. During the interview, he hinted that Radiohead may be in for some live dates soon, saying that the band has been discussing doing more shows after their recent Glastonbury performance.

When asked whether the slot on the Park Stage had whetted their appetite for a potential tour he admitted it had.

“Absolutely that is what we are talking about at the moment, it felt exciting doing that and it felt like we had something else to offer musically.

“It just felt like a new lease of life in what we are doing, and we would like to see where that takes us.”

After the jump, you can listen to Phil’s interview and also learn more about his new EP release. Oh, and for good measure, we’ll throw in a video of Radiohead’s recent Glastonbury performance.
