Covers! Covers! Seems like this is the Summer of Radiohead covers, no? Sheesh, they are everywhere. The latest is from the band Yellowcard, who chose to cover “High and Dry” as part of an acoustic session for AOL. Check the video.

Damien Rice covers “Creep”
Speaking of Starbucks, the coffee chain has an exclusive CD of cover songs from KCRW’s Sounds Eclectic, called Sounds Eclectic: The Covers Project. Two Radiohead songs appear on the album, which is nice. Along with the older Flaming Lips’ cover of “Knives Out”, Damien Rice’s cover of “Creep” is featured.
If you don’t want to go to Starbucks to buy the CD, you can get it straight from KCRW.
A label called Baby Rock Records is releasing Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Radiohead, an album of Radiohead’s songs transformed in to lullabies. Here’s the album description:
Rockabye Baby! transforms timeless rock songs into beautiful instrumental lullabies. The delicate sounds of the glockenspiel, vibraphone, and other instruments will lull your little one into a sweet slumber. These versions of Radiohead are sophisticated enough for people of all ages, but sweet enough to introduce your child to rock’s smartest band. Their album Kid A imagines the scope and power of music created by a newborn child. What will your baby dream about while drifting off to these serene interpretations of Radiohead’s best-loved songs?
The album will be released on August 29, though it can be pre-ordered on their website. Check out their other albums.
You do it to yourself
Last week we told you about the Radiohead tribute album that is due to be released soon. A video for “Just” has appeared online which you can view here. The video is set to a montage of animated London graffiti.
The cover was done by Mark Ronson and Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet).
