Did you get yours? Today, presale tickets went on sale at MTV.com and Ticketmaster and as usual, we have dozens upon dozens of email from fans who either didn’t get tickets or who did. We got news that the allotment for most of the Atlanta and New Jersey tickets to sell during the presale today sold out within an hour, which isn’t surprising. If you couldn’t get tickets online, the general sale for most of the second leg North American shows go on sale at Ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster outlets on June 16. Check the tour dates page for more info.
As far as we know, tickets for the August 20 show at the Hollywood Bowl will not go on sale until July 7. Also, we don’t know anything about the Philadelphia show. It may be that it has been scrapped and will not happen. Once we know anything, it’ll be here.
Tickets for the August 14 show in Boston went on presale today at tickets.com. General sale will occur on June 16 at ALL STRAWBERRIES MUSIC AND VIDEO STORES AND VIA TELEPHONE AT (800) 477-6849. Check the tour dates page for more info.
w.a.s.t.e. now has some more tickets available for the July 7 show in Oxford! Hurry! {thanks to Jose Alberto}
We’ve also learned that the Zodiac Club in Oxford will begin selling 2000 tickets at the club starting at noon until 6pm this Saturday. The reason more tickets are going to be available locally is best summed up by club manager Nick Moorbath:
“A lot of people have been phoning up to say that they are still trying to get hold of tickets, so we are pleased that a new public entertainment licence has been allowed, which means we can increase the capacity by another 2,000. Selling the tickets locally should mean that they go to local people, and that keeps the amount of traffic down.”
Fans need to turn up in person and there will be a limit of four tickets to each buyer in a bid to stop touts. {thanks to Michael}
Radiohead will be playing at the Oslo Spectrum in Oslo, Norway on September 9, 2001. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at http://www.billettservice.no. {thanks to Marius, Reidar, Oystein, Fred, Trond, & Ketil}
There are two reviews of Amnesiac at United Front that you may enjoy reading.
Also, a review can be found at www.groovevolt.com. {thanks to Roy}
Radiohead are working on the video for their next single, “Knives Out,” and the clip will feature real human beings for a change.
Following the abstract cartoon “iBlips” from Kid A and the computer-animated video for the U.K. single “Pyramid Song,” the band decided to go live action on this outing. Directed by Michel Gondry who helped Bjork achieve her quirky vision in the videos for “Human Behaviour,” “Hyperballad” and “Bachelorette,” among others the video features an appearance by lead singer Thom Yorke himself. If you live in Illinois, Wisconsin or Indiana you can enter this contest for tickets to the Chicago show from WXRT. {thanks to Steve}
A radio station called 99.1 WHFS in the Washington D.C/Baltimore area is giving away Radiohead tickets to the Bull Run show all this week. To obtain these tickets, one must listen to the radio all week… {thanks to Lisa}
This is from U2.com:
U2 and RADIOHEAD join forces to raise the plight of AIDS holocaust in Africa.
This week fans are being invited to e-mail politicians and other leaders in the richest countries urging them to direct the IMF and World Bank to cancel the debts they are owed by the poorest countries.
This would free up hundreds of millions of dollars each year to help the fight against AIDS.
As well as lobbying politicians through the internet, supporters are also being invited to the STOP GLOBAL AIDS RALLY on June 23rd in New York.
Musicians, speakers and thousands of campaigners will be calling for urgent action to end the Global AIDS crisis. (Supporters assemble 11am at Washington Square Park (Manhattan) and march to Bryant Park for the rally.)
Campaigners are demanding urgent action ahead of the forthcoming UN summit on AIDS and are demanding a a New Deal on Debt to fight AIDS at the G7 meetings in Rome and Genoa in July.
Please cut, paste and send the e-letter below to the following email addresses of President Bush and other leaders of rich nations – known as the G7.

Dear G7 leaders
The AIDS holocaust in Africa requires urgent action. When 5,500 Africans die each day from AIDS it is strange that these poor countries still spend more repaying debts than on healthcare. This could be changed if you would agree to direct the IMF and World Bank to cancel the debts they are owed by the poorest countries. This would free up hundreds of millions of dollars each year to help the fight against AIDS.
Please consider this at the forthcoming UN summit on AIDS and agree a New Deal on Debt to fight AIDS at the G7 meetings in Rome and Genoa in July.
Future generations will judge ours by whether we saw the connection between the debt and AIDS crises, and acted to end both decisively.
Yours truly,
…………..

Virgin Radio has updated their Radiohead feature to include an exclusive interview with Virgin DJs Pete and Geoff. Also, visitors can also win copies of Amnesiac (as if you’ve not already got a copy!), listen to some clips from the album, and link through to the video to “Pyramid Song”. Enjoy!
And finally, why don’t you go and download a remix of “Everything in its Right Place” by ROLLMOTTLE!
Yesterday Ticketmaster had on their Website that the 2 Liberty State Park shows in New Jersey were going to go on sale tomorrow at 9:00am. They were incorrect and have changed the “Internet Presale” date to June 14th at 10:00am. Don’t kill the messenger! 🙂
Also, just to clear up the whole ticket process for the North American second leg tour. No, we don’t have any info on the Philadelphia or Hollywood shows. As soon as we do, I can promise you it will be on the site. As for the MTV “presale” and the Ticketmaster “Internet Onsale,” they are the exact same thing. You could go to either at 10:00am on June 14th to get your tickets. MTV and Ticketmaster just label it differently. And finally, the “General Sale” of tickets will occur at Ticketmaster outlets on June 16. This is if, of course, there are any tickets left over from the “MTV presale” or “Ticketmaster Internet Onsale.” “General Sale” is when you physically go to a Ticketmaster outlet and purchase tickets from a human being. It is to your advantage to get your tickets over the Internet through either MTV or Ticketmaster…. Or if you were lucky enough to get a chance to purchase straight from w.a.s.t.e. All the information we have on tickets is at
the tour dates page. Thanks! 🙂
Kid Koala has been added to the August 1 Chicago show at Arvey Field. Go to the tour page for more info. {thanks to john}
Tickets for the two shows at Liberty State Park in New Jersey will be available to purchase at ticketmaster.com on June 13 at 9:00am ET. For all tour dates and the latest ticket information we know about, go to the tour dates page. {thanks to Melissa}
